Toddler Program

The toddler program includes children ages 18 months – 3years. NLMA toddler program provides children of this age with an opportunity to explore new relationships with friends and to interact with adults in a loving and nurturing environment. As part of their early Montessori experience, toddlers are introduced to age-appropriate Montessori materials and invited to make choices from a variety of activities that support their developmental interests and needs. The first few years of a child's life are crucial to his or her personality and intellectual development. In his acclaimed book The First Few Years of Life, Dr. Burton L. White, states that a child born with the best mental and physical capability may not attain even average levels of competence without exposure to appropriate experiences. The purpose of our Infant/Toddler development program is to encourage, assist, and protect the normal development of each child. Children in our program flourish in prepared environments which respect, support and response to their basic needs for independence and exploration. Thus, building trust and self-esteem.

“Children will flourish with the method that works best for them individually – not only the class as a whole.”
